Launch of the Glasgow Breakthroughs World Leaders Summit COP26

Energy and Clean Tech

Challenge

There was significant doubt ahead of COP26 as to whether we could halve global emissions by 2030 and reach net zero by mid-century to keep 1.5 degrees warming in reach. The challenge was to demonstrate that we have the leadership, solutions, and collaboration, to deliver radical transformation and innovation to get to net zero.

Solution

Launch the Breakthrough Agenda with a positive vision of clean, green future economies at the World Leaders Summit. Showcasing how tangible action is happening now to keep 1.5 degrees within reach. This included distinctive digital and physical branding, a narrative and message house, two films premiered at the World Leaders Summit, a digital communications toolkit, and social media assets and content.

Result

Showed powerful films with high profile influencers and leading businesses, to demonstrate commitment and action at the World Leaders Summit. The #GlasgowBreakthroughs hashtag reached over 8M Twitter timelines and our designed social content was shared by Boris Johnson, Nigel Topping, COP26, the Department for BEIS, Ban Ki-Moon Centre, the FCDO and many more.

Impact
