Challenge – develop an authentic brand story

Computomics approached us with an objective to develop an authentic brand story and redefine its internal and external messaging in a compelling and engaging way.

We were also tasked with developing a communications strategy to raise awareness of Computomics and its work, including specific calls to action and product focus for each target audience.

Solution – stakeholder survey and holding several in-depth interviews

We began by developing a stakeholder survey and holding several in-depth interviews with 20+ Computomics team members, key stakeholders and friendly clients, to affirm the company’s vision and USP.

We then ran a messaging and communications strategy workshop with the core team, to share the findings from the surveys and gather insight on the mission, core market value propositions and product messaging.

Results – a full messaging framework

We developed a full messaging framework, which includes Computomics’ overarching mission, strapline and brand narrative, as well as market value propositions, key messages, and proof points for each of its product offerings. We produced a communications strategy including objectives, target audiences, a recommended press office and digital strategy, and three suggested ‘headline activations’ to support Computomics’ climate-smart breeding and sustainability propositions.

Impact – an empowered marketing team

The messaging framework and communications strategy will empower Computomics’ marketing team to reach and engage with key decision makers in their target market, build their reputation and attract new investors, funders and partners. Additionally, Computomics are exploring opportunities around one of our proposed activities – an annual ‘crop indicator’ report – which would further demonstrate its USPs and generate media coverage.
