Mobilising action on resilience and adaptation at COP28
Resilience Rising
The Resilience Hub convenes a global community of diverse perspectives and experiences to exchange knowledge, develop solutions, and catalyse action. As the primary venue for climate resilience and adaptation discussions at COP, the Hub seeks to lead discussions and set the agenda on resilience.
It prioritises locally informed, equitable solutions for resilience, placing people and nature at the core of COP processes. Incorporating Regional Hubs into its programming and delivery is key to amplifying the voices of the most vulnerable and climate-affected communities.

Strategic media support to the Resilience Hub at COP28
Challenge
By 2030, it’s expected that four billion people will be at risk of climate impacts and without sufficient resilience planning and policymaking, communities, countries and entire regions will continue to face the devastating effects of the climate crisis.
At COP28, the Resilience Hub created an inclusive virtual and physical space designed to mobilise action on resilience and adaptation at the conference and beyond.
Solution
During COP28, we provided strategic media support to the Resilience Hub, amplifying voices from all regions of civil society, the private sector, academia, and government.
We offered expert counsel, managed media briefings with high-level spokespeople, including Hillary Clinton, and press requests, coordinated spokesperson interviews, and ensured global media outreach for top-quality coverage.
Results
Secured 466 articles across 30 countries mentioning the Resilience Hub, resulting in an estimated 4.82 million worldwide coverage views.
The coverage was shared 594 times on social media channels.
Invited journalists from major outlets, resulting in attendance from Context, EFE, POLITICO, Associated Press, Financial Times, Press Association, Radio France Internationale and Dow Jones, among others.
Impact
Through media relationships, we brought crucial issues to the attention of high-profile policy and decision-makers, including extreme heat, climate-resilient cities, and the importance of indigenous knowledge.
We ensured that those most impacted were centre stage. Women made up 78% of spokespeople, and they represented a diverse geographical range, including Bangladesh, Ecuador, Greece, India, Peru, South Africa, Sudan, Sweden and Tasmania.

What Our Clients Say
“The team did a great job in delivering the voices of resilience action to the media and engaged with the diverse set of stakeholders involved in the Resilience Hub with professionalism and sincerity. It was noted and greatly appreciated. Thank you also for taking a personal interest in the project; it was great to see the team take part in the Hub’s sessions too and not hide behind email for pitches but get actively involved and hands-on to ensure media pick up. ”
