“Levelling up” EV charging across the UK

Energy and Clean Tech

Challenge

There is currently just one public-access on-street charger for every 52 EVs on UK roads. Those without off-street parking or a dedicated parking space – 62% of drivers – are being left behind in the EV transition: making up less than a tenth of EV drivers today.

Solution

Launched Connected Kerbs’s ambitious £1.9bn plan to install 190,000 on-street EV chargers by 2030 to revolutionise access to EV charging for the tens of millions of drivers without off-street parking and ensure an equitable and just transition to electric transport.

Result

Generated 400 media articles, viewed by more than 20M people. Highlights included coverage in The Times, Sky News, Telegraph, Mail Online, The i, Mirror and The Express, plus international syndication and multiple high-value trade media titles.

Impact

Connected Kerb was positioned as the leading provider of on-street EV charging overnight, with a spike in new partnership enquiries and immediate interest from multiple international institutional investors, positioning the company for the next phase of growth.
