Uniting a community of thought leaders and activists across policy, food, education, finance and development. to build momentum towards COP26, by showcasing, celebrating and galvanising London as a hub driving climate action.
Solution
Created multi stakeholder communications campaign support more than 250 organisations to come together as a community to drive change. Developed a digital toolkit, to amplify their voices and encourage other organisations to take part in LCAW. Raised the profile of LCAW by inviting media to events. Created series of films to engage audiences. Collaborated with key multipliers, COP26 team and the Mayor of London, to boost reach and visibility. Ran targeted ad campaigns to drive sign-ups.
Result
We helped to deliver 240+ events in total. The #LCAW2021 hashtag was viewed over 96M times, and videos were watched over 108K times, with the Twitter account growing to over 5K followers and the LinkedIn account to over 2K followers. We secured 400 pieces of media coverage including 108+ in international and national publications, such as Reuters, The Times, The Daily Mail, Sky News, Forbes, Bloomberg, AP, City AM, and Daily Express.
Impact
Positive engagement from MPs, diplomats and British embassies across the globe, helping to reinforce London's position on the world stage as a centre for climate action. Engaged a diverse group of communities, experts, policymakers and businesses. High-profile influencers, Mayor of London Sadiq Khan and COP26 President Alok Sharma, generated and shared LCAW content on social media. Secured LCAW’s position as an integral event to build momentum before COP26.
