We Feed the World Nick Ballon

Launching at the Bargehouse Gallery on London’s Southbank this Friday (12 October), We Feed the World is a global photography initiative capturing the triumphs and tribulations of the smallholder farmers who produce 70% of the world’s food.

The exhibition will be accompanied by a ten-day programme of talks, films and workshops by international activists in the food and farming movement, artists and leading campaign groups – the full itinerary is available here.

You may have seen some exciting coverage in The Guardian and Independent in the run up this week, so we thought we would share our pick of the best events happening at the Bargehouse.

5) Inspirational film screenings

We have cheated here and have included two incredible films that are being shown because we simply couldn’t choose.

Seed: The Untold Story is a harrowing and heartening story rekindling the lost connection to our most treasured resource and reviving a culture connected to seeds. Find out more here.

In Our Hands explores a quiet revolution that is transforming the way our food is produced and distributed. The documentary profiles the emergence of a new generation of farmers who are outgrowing the industrial food system with a vision for post-Brexit food production that redefines our relationship with food. Find out more here.

We have loved being involved in this ambitious collaboration between the arts, environmental and business sectors, who have come together for the first time to share the inspiring stories of regenerative agriculture across the world.

Visit the Bargehouse Gallery, Southbank, London between 12-24 October 2018 and let us know on our Greenhouse social media channels if you enjoyed any of the events.
