We are delighted to have been selected for The Escape 100, a prestigious global campaign highlighting the top purpose-led organisations to ‘escape to’ in 2023!

Following almost 13,000 company nominations from across the world, Greenhouse Communications made the top 15 thanks to our mission, values, impact and flexible working environment – ranking alongside environmental gamechangers like Too Good To Go, Who Gives a Crap, Toast Ale, City to Sea, and Finisterre.

The Escape 100 campaign was started by Escape the City, a company on a mission to help 1,000,000 people quit their corporate jobs and find work that matters to them and the world. As part of their journey, they began to wonder: what actually makes an organisation different, forward-thinking, and impactful?

Enter: ‘The Escape 100’.

The Escape the City team devised an impressive system to rank companies and to better understand their working culture and role in driving positive change. This includes employee reviews as well as six scoring criteria (Impact, People, Mission, Planet, Innovation and B-Corp).

“If you want to use communication for the power of good – Greenhouse could be the one for you.”

Hilary Owen, Head of Marketing, Escape the City

Since the pandemic started, employees all over the world have been given time to think about what really matters to them, and are increasingly prioritising finding new meaningful, flexible and forward-thinking work environments (as reported by The Times). Ina recent survey of 1,500 jobseekers from Escape the City’s global network, 89% reported wanting a career with a clear sense of purpose (up from 71% in 2015), with 73% saying that their reflection time during the pandemic has made them re-evaluate their path.

Greenhouse’s mission is to drive positive change for people and planet through the power of communications, and in order to do that we need a strong and healthy team. That’s why our staff wellbeing programmes and benefits have been created to best suit the needs of the team, and why flexibility is at the core of our ways of working.

Some of the employee reviews about Greenhouse include:

“I feel genuinely proud to work for Greenhouse as everything the organisation does is centred around the mission and vision for both people and planet. Greenhouse’s values are very similar to my own and I love working alongside so many colleagues who are driven by the same purpose.”

“I’m always shouting about Greenhouse to my friends as being such a supportive and kind agency to work at. People are really placed at the centre and it shows with the work that goes into the benefits, flexible working and encouraging an open culture where all voices are heard.”

“We are committed to only working with partners and clients that meet our set of standards and that are truly aligned with our purpose: making the world a better, greener and fairer place. From energy and clean technology to food, agriculture and nature-based solutions, our work spans sectors, geographies and communities and we are always hyper focused on generating positive results and impact.”

“It’s been almost a year that I’ve been working at Greenhouse and I can comfortably say that it’s the best job I’ve ever had. The combination of a clear, rewarding company mission as well as shared values that are obvious in every aspect of the company, I feel happy and rewarded in my role.”
