5 great reasons to attend Content Rising 2025

Content Rising 2025 - on 12th June

Join us at Content Rising 2025

In a decade defined by the climate crisis, communicators across marketing, advertising, PR, and digital have an important role to play. Supported by Greenhouse, Content Rising 2025 is a unique one-day event at Kew’s wild botanic garden in Wakehurst, Sussex, designed to empower and inspire those working across sectors and disciplines to address the climate emergency with hopeful, creative and ambitious communications.

In partnership with research and content specialists Wilsome, we have designed Content Rising to be a celebration of storytelling, where speakers and participants can share experiences, learn from each other and bring fresh thinking to peers and connections. We’re bringing together the voices of those who are dedicating their lives to tackling the challenges of our times and challenging the ways that we talk about climate, collective action, hope and impact.

With a diverse range of speakers including Matt Golding, Farhana Yamin, Chantelle Lindsay and Alex Thomson and hands-on workshops led by expert organisations and individuals, we promise you new perspectives, lively debate and creative inspiration.

Here are five reasons to join us at Content Rising in June 2025

1. Expert insights

With a stellar lineup already confirmed, Content Rising speakers will share their insights and provoke discussions about how to communicate around climate in today’s fast-changing and often overwhelming communications landscape. Sessions such as “The challenges and opportunities of reframing climate” and “Who is writing the story of the future?” will offer insights into shaping powerful stories with diverse audiences in mind.

You will learn to create compelling climate campaigns that highlight environmental commitment and inspire action. With expert insights, you’ll elevate your strategies to build trust and cultivate a relationship with your audience (and of course drive engagements).

2. Workshops to unlock creativity

It’s not going to be all talk at Content Rising 2025. There will be opportunities to experience different environments and ways of working, through our range of interactive workshops and group sessions.

These workshops have been designed to help unlock some of the key barriers that can get in the way of staying creative and connected as we do our work. Whether it’s “Walking and storytelling: creative content research” or “Unblock your creativity in nature,” these sessions will inspire fresh approaches and help you tell authentic stories. You will gain the skills to uncover hidden narratives from your research and explore actionable storytelling to address climate challenges.

3. Connection and collaboration

Too many cooks may spoil the broth, but whoever coined that phrase has clearly never met a group of creative minds working together to generate impact! We have set out to create a space for like-minded professionals to connect at Content Rising and come away with learnings to help shape the future of their own (as well as our collective) communications.

Through our workshops mentioned above, you will be able to throw ideas around with other successful climate communicators and create memories that blossom into impact – through your communication skills.

Additionally, these workshops give you lasting relationships (for a lifetime, we hope) for future collaborations – setting your career on a sustainable incline.

4. Community building

Last but definitely not least: community building. Community is what helps us thrive as people as well as communicators and being able to rely on these networks is what can help you succeed in a crowded space.

Workshops like “Guerrilla Geography and Community Building” and “Weald to Waves: Connecting Communities and Places” will help you build networks based on shared knowledge, bridging the gaps between communities through understanding shared values and emotional resonance.

Join us on 12 June 2025 at Content Rising at the Millennium Seed Bank at Wakehurst and let’s see what we can grow together.

5. A space for reflection and restoration

At Content Rising we’re offering a sanctuary for communicators who need to pause, reflect, and restore their creative energy. As a climate communicator, the weight of the work can take a toll. We carry the responsibility of translating urgency into action while maintaining hope. It is an endeavour that affects one’s mental and emotional energy. That’s why rest and self-care isn’t a luxury; it’s a necessity.

Content Rising is your invitation to pause and recharge. Wakehurst offers you its gardens and the chance for meaningful conversations with like-minded people. Here, you’ll find space to reflect, reconnect, and restore your energy for the climate crisis messaging you are working with.
