The role: (Senior) Account Manager, Advocacy

Greenhouse is looking for an outstanding communications professional who is passionate about driving climate and nature positive action to join our growing team.

You will lead and support a portfolio of clients to deliver integrated communications campaigns related to nature-based solutions, corporate climate and nature-positive action, nature finance and the Voluntary Carbon Market. The role is within the Advocacy team, which works at the unique intersection of finance, nature, climate leadership. We help build movements, mobilise governments and accelerate investment and action on the ground.

We need someone who is driven, creative, strategic and professional to join our smart and dedicated team. The successful candidate will be skilled and experienced in creating brilliant written content, managing complex projects, liaising with a range of partners and stakeholders, engaging policy and business audiences, and understanding sometimes technical briefs.

Your natural passion will mean that you are curious about new ideas and eager to effect change. You’ll be keen to learn and flex with the needs of the team or challenge. You’ll stay on top of stories and trends and be passionate about sharing your knowledge with the team.

As a developing manager, you will impact the success of both our campaigns and team. Ultimately you will be driven to create brilliant work.

Required skills and experience

Established experience: minimum of 3 years’ experience in a communications role, ideally focused climate, nature or sustainable finance.

Project management: ability to turn strategic communications plans into action and impact-led campaigns, managing multiple clients in a fast-paced environment.

Client servicing: acting as the go-to client contact, building trust and solid relationships, proactively managing expectations, updates and feedback. 

Digital communications: ability to advise and support across a range of channels.

Media relations: nurturing media relations, staying on top of trends, and an understanding of what makes a good story.

Team management: providing direction and counsel for junior colleagues.

Writing skills: ability to write compelling press releases, blogs and articles, sometimes based on complex technical information.

Confident presenter: in client meetings, with stakeholders and internally.

Insights and research: ability to analyse research and data to create messaging and content for a range of audiences.

Commercial awareness: ability to set up and manage campaign budgets effectively.

Business development: build external contacts and new business opportunities, supporting proposals and pitches.

Languages: fluency in at least one foreign language is desirable.

Salary and benefits

  • £32,000 – £50,000 (dependant on location and experience). 
  • Flexible working: core hours 10am-4pm with 2-3 days per week expected in the office.

Our location

We are based in London and Bristol with flexibility over where this role will be based. We operate a flexible hybrid-working approach, but you will be expected to spend an average of 2-3 days a week in the office.
